About Me

I am a passionate gardener, trained ecologist and permaculturalist.

I am always interested in working with others with a similar vision. Get in touch with me to find out how we could work together.

My name is Becky, I am an ecologist and kitchen gardener passionate about growing my own food at home in a sustainable, organic way.

I believe that growing our own food can make us happier and healthier whilst securing a brighter future for our children.

I trained as an ecologist and worked in ecology for a short while. I stopped because I realised that my mental health was deteriorating fast. I was spending almost all of my time alone, and I was not cut out for that, despite thinking that that would be my perfect situation.

I decided to work instead with people, and looked into holistic wellbeing. I studied massage and became fascinated in the link between physical health, mental health, lifestyle and diet. As an ecologist I was also interested in the link between us and our environment, and the key fact that we are not simply something that walks through an environment, but part of it.

I had always grown my own food from a young age helping my parents and grandparents on their vegetable patch, and later on their allotment. I grew food of my own as soon as I left home and always enjoyed pottering in the garden as a way to pass time and relax. In 2018 I got my first proper vegetable patch and was ready to hit the ground running. Since then I have been sharing my adventures on social media and helping to inspire others to grow their own food.
